Gilgamesh’s World

when I was in Omaha I went to Robert’s skatepark. There is a steep hill I went down. I also went down another hill that looked like a giant diagonal line. It was fun.

I was in Omaha for about 10 days. I was away from my family. I stayed at my grandma’s and grandpa’s, and Yiayia’s, and my cousins’ house. My cousin Cedric showed me a park near his house. One time we went to play tennis there. There is a steep hill by his house that we went biking down.

I went to St. Louis to see my aunt and uncle and before we saw them we went to the St. Louis arch. I went inside the arch. They wouldn’t let me take my skateboard inside. We went up to the top. I got to look out the windows.

I got those glasses at Graceland. Here is Elvis’ grave:

Strange how he was so poor and then so rich.

On Sunday me, my sister, and her friend and my parents went to Jean Lafitte Park. I skateboarded on the trail over the swamp. I saw a black snake, and I tried to throw a wooden chip at it. I can do an Ollie, a jump, and a grind and also a caveman. These are tricks on my skateboard.

In Atlanta I took a picture with my sister Kalypso next to the Coca-Cola building. We also went to the King Tut exhibit, and saw a 3-D movie.

We also saw the Chinese soldiers buried with the emperors, and we saw the birthplace of Martin Luther King Jr. My dad gave a lecture about ancient beer at Emory University. In Atlanta we also saw Barack Obama become president and took a picture of us next to a television when that happened.

We’re on vacation from school. Before Christmas I went up to the lake and behind it was a playground and an arch. The weather was blowing hard.

He came to visit me for Christmas. We went to see the art for Prospect One.This is my Grandma, Mary Mike Fitzpatrick:

We did the same thing and went to Prospect One. Prospect One had a giant stuffed animal polar bear.For Christmas I got a game called Stars Wars Force Unleashed, another one was called Lego Batman and the last my sister got is Super Smash Brothers Brawl. I got a Misfits blanket, a Blackflag shirt, some money from family.

Two lego models also came. One was Annakin and R2D2. I also got a flashlight and from my YiaYia, which is Grandma in Greek, a little robot, a flashlight and a reading book flashlight that attaches on to the book. Kochise got a squeeky toy. I keep on squeeking it. When I squeek it Kochise looks at me like he’s about to attack me.

On December 12th it snowed in New Orleans. Our teacher let us go outside and play. We ran around in the snow. There wasn’t enough snow to throw snowballs because it was really small and if it hit something it would melt. I have a friend named James. He kept on talking about it the whole day. When we were in class I looked out the window and the snow level was high. If we were out there we could have had a snowball fight. Here is a picture of the snow in front of our house:

Today I didn’t have school because it was election day. So me and Abu (my dad) went to buy new shoes and shoelaces. I have two hightops that needed shoelaces. One is Converse Allstar (Chuck Taylor) and the other is World Industries. I got some new Vans with checkerboard on them. My dad voted earlier so we didn’t have to do it when I got the shoes. My mom had to go to school. My parents voted for Obama and Biden. Tomorrow we will have a new president. Tomorrow I will wear my Chuck Taylor Allstar shoes.

I made seven goals today at my soccer game. We won  the game 8 to 3. My teammate Charlie scored the seventh goal. I scored the sixth and the eight and the first five.

Halloween is coming up. I do not know what I will be. I might be the grim reaper. I don’t know  but maybe I will ask if I can come with a friend for Halloween. The friend could be Harry, George,  or Gabriel. I like Halloween because you get to dress up and you get lots of candy. 

My old bikes got stolen. I got a new bike at Plan B. We had to put it together from old bike parts. After that we sanded it and we spray painted it.
