This summer I played baseball in the Carrollton league. I played catcher and in the outfield and batter. This is my team.

My coaches’ name was Coach, or Paul, and we had another coach named Dave. On the team were Gabriel, Tejean, Evin, Colder, Henry, Mark, Ray, and some others. I think Tejean was the best player. Our team is named the Warriors. The regular season is over, and we’re in the playoffs. They start soon.

That was my first time eating a Lucky Dog. Lucky dogs are hot dogs that you can get in the French Quarter in New Orleans. I didn’t eat the whole thing because there was mustard on it and I don’t like mustard. But the hot dog and bun were very good. My dad ate it after me and he got mustard on his shirt, and then my mom finished it. I would not like to work at a Lucky Dog one day. I would rather be a video game tester.

Yesterday we had swimming practice, but someone pooped in the pool. We had to get out. The pool was closed. No one knows who did it. Then yesterday after the pool one of the dogs pooped in the house. I think the dog who pooped was Mosey, but my dad thinks it was Kochise.

On the last day of school we played on the computers all day. All the other classrooms went outside. We didn’t go outside because we voted that we wanted to play on the computers. Next year I’ll be in Second Grade. This summer I am going to camp with Harry and George. I also am going to do sports camp.

I am in the first grade and the school year is almost over. My teacher’s name this year is Mr. Reynaud. He is one of the nicest teachers I know. He takes me on field trips like the big event at the park. At the park I played with my friends. He taught me math. He likes to draw pictures of people. Next year I don’t know who my teacher will be, we don’t get to pick.

Jazzfest is a place in New Orleans where we celebrate. It is fun. This year I went four times I think, and I have been to Jazzfest every year since I was a baby. It was muddy where I played with my friends Harry and George. I heard good music. I liked the band that played Iko Iko. It’s not only music they have. I went to see the Kid’s Tent and I got to paint. It was fun, and here is a picture with me and my mom at the Kid’s Tent.

On Friday we went to Ashley Morris’ funeral. I was very sad. I saw him in the coffin. I was very sorry he passed away. If I lost my dad I would feel really really really sad. At first the music at the funeral was very sad. After they buried him the music was very happy. Right now I am wearing an Ashley Morris shirt that has a fleur du lis and the name Ashley on it.

I went to the Bonnet Carre spillway. The Mississippi River was very high. When we went there I was really hyper. I ran around. It was fun. My dad and my sister were with me. My dad said the river was high, and they opened the spillway to make the river lower. A bunch of fish died.

My dad played with his band Apathy at a bar called the Waiting Room in Omaha Nebraska. In this picture J.J. Pearson was asking me who was my dad. I said he was the one with the glasses and brown hair. When I went to Omaha it was fun. I saw YiaYia, Poncho, Grandma and Grandpa, Uncle Craig, Uncle Jim and Aunt Therese. I saw Marc and Jackie also. They came to New Orleans for Mardi Gras. It was really really fun.
